Originally from Ireland and a native English speaker, Dr. Murphy offers compassionate patient-care for both local and international patients. A graduate of the University of Florence’s Doctor of Medicine and Surgery program, Dr. Murphy has cultivated a strong foundation in emergency medicine and infectious diseases through diverse clinical experiences across Europe and the United States. He has completed visiting medical student rotations in Emergency Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Kaiser Permanente in Honolulu and previously trained in France, Latvia, and the UK through Erasmus+ and exchange programs.
Fluent in English and Italian, with proficiency in French and German, Dr. Murphy brings both a cultural sensitivity and clear communication to his practice. His deep commitment to public health and human rights is reflected in his long-standing involvement with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), where he serves as Vice-Coordinator of the Florence chapter.
