
THIS COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL EXAMINATION FOR MEN INCLUDES:
- General physical examination:
- Complete history and enquiry taken by an AMC physician to include review of medications, allergies, and immunizations, family history and lifestyle issues
- Complete physical examination to include check of height and weight for calculation of Body Mass Index, and blood pressure, in addition to a full head-to-toe examination by the physician
- Blood laboratory studies:
- Complete Blood Count (check for anemia, infection, clotting cells)
- Glucose * (screen for diabetes), HgbA1C
- Complete Lipid Profile * (complete cholesterol and triglyceride panel)
- HIV (optional if requested)
- TSH (screen for thyroid disease)
- Renal Profile
- Liver Profile
- PSA for Prostatic Cancer Screening**
- Urine laboratory studies:
- Routine and microscopic analysis of urine for blood, infection, diabetes, kidney disease
- Abdominal ultrasound examination, prostate, thyroid
- CXR PA (If not performed in last 2 years)
- Resting ECG (Cardiograph)
* These tests require a fasting sample of blood nothing to eat from midnight before and only water in the morning.
** This test requires that you do not have sex or ride a bicycle or gym bicycle for 3 days before the test.
