Ia Shekliradzei

Dr. Ia Shekliradzei is a leading figure in clinical social work and psychology, dedicated to community upliftment and individual empowerment. After earning degrees from Ilia State University and Tbilisi State University, she pursued a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University in New York. Excelling in assessment and therapy, she provided vital support to internally displaced children in New York and Los Angeles. Her leadership at organizations like Save the Children and the Georgian Association of Social Workers spearheaded initiatives to protect children's rights. Dr. Shekliradze expanded her expertise, obtaining Licensed Clinical Social Worker credentials in California in 2011. Her roles at KidSave International and Every Child – Georgia showcased her proficiency in program management. In 2018, she achieved a career milestone as Associate Professor/Senior Researcher at Ilia State University, inspiring future professionals while conducting groundbreaking research.
